Meet our Board

Landy B. Che Pech is a passionate advocate for children and families with a rich background in early childhood education and community service. With over 25 years of experience as the sole proprietor of an in-home daycare, Landy has served hundreds of families from diverse backgrounds, providing nurturing care and educational support to children of all abilities.

Originally from Yucatan, Mexico, Landy brings a unique perspective shaped by her experiences working with various government programs supporting women's groups, farmers, ranchers, and artisans. Her involvement in international nutritional partnerships and community development initiatives reflects her commitment to making a positive impact on society.

In addition to her professional endeavors, Landy is actively involved in her community, volunteering with multiple local organizations. Her dedication to advocacy and service led her to join the board of FamilyFirst CareConnect, where she contributes her expertise and passion for empowering children and families.

Landy is fluent in Spanish and English, allowing her to effectively communicate and connect with diverse populations. She believes in the power of education and early intervention to shape a brighter future for children and is committed to leveraging her skills and experiences to make a difference in the lives of those she serves.

My name is Laurena, and I recently graduated from high school. Throughout my educational journey, I've had the privilege of accessing various resources that have contributed to my academic success.

From my elementary years to high school, I actively sought out opportunities to lead, mentor, and contribute to our school community. I've always been drawn to initiatives that promote inclusivity, collaboration, and positive change.

Participating in FamilyFirst CareConnect's Life Skills and Etiquette program was a significant highlight for me. This program not only equipped me with valuable life skills but also inspired me to become more involved in community outreach efforts. I am grateful for the opportunity to have been a part of such a transformative program and am eager to continue supporting FamilyFirst CareConnect's mission in any way I can.

As I transition into this new chapter of my life, I am excited about the opportunity to serve on the Board of Directors and represent the next generation of leaders. I am committed to bringing my enthusiasm, creativity, and dedication to the table and am eager to work alongside you and the rest of the team to advance FamilyFirst CareConnect's mission of empowering youth and families in our community.

Greetings! My name is Candace Reid. I spent the first part of my life living overseas in various countries, and I currently reside in Tacoma, WA. I am a proud mother of four amazing children who keep me humble and full of life. I love traveling with my family, attending sporting events, and enjoying nature. I am inspired and ready to help contribute to making our community thrive!

I have extensive experience in childcare, where I have served as an exemplary leader and advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). My work focuses on early intervention, incorporating cultural diversity into the curriculum, and advocating for parents.

I am passionate about my work and look forward to bringing my experience and enthusiasm to the FamilyFirst CareConnect Board.
